Scott reg No FSK 479

Anyone recognise registration number FSK 479 ? Purportedly a 1938 Scott, possibly from the Sheffield area.

Hello Dave,

I do not recognise the registration of the 1938 Scott you have inquired about. I so not think that is a Sheffield area registration. If you consult the Vintage Club who hold the Scott Dispatch Registry the will be able to tell you where the machine was dispatch to in 1938. I have used this service in the past and found they very helpful.

I was just trying to find any history on the bike for a friend who may buy it at auction on Wednesday. I know that it has a 1938 frame and I think a 1950 engine but that’s all.

FSK 479 is an age related reg number. The bike was originally registered ABD 833
