I built a Scott special for my brother Trevor in 1967 and he has now decided to sell his motorcycles, he also has a BMW.
This bike is no a showpiece but is reasonably smart
Vintage duplex Flyer frame with swinging arm conversion
Front end Norton Roadholder with early good iron brake drum
Nice late vintage genuine Replica tank nicely painted and panelled
Engine from original 1950 DPY 600 rebored with new pistons
Main bearings are taper roller type
Cranks are early Moss in medium strength crankshaft steel
Inlet system by reed valves on doors
Mag by Lucas 4 lead rotating magnet magneto on platform
No lighting set fitted
60’s type racing seat
Unused since 1967
When last run in 67, it ran well with high torque, so from memory I think it has a 22T gearbox sprocket.
It is a sound engine and gearbox but without the modifications that I developed over the next 42 years.
