ive fitted a side stand to my flyer as im having trouble putting it on the main stand due to shoulder injury the stands off a gxr susuki fits well, let me know what you think https://i.imgur.com/uKyjQ.jpg
looks nice and neat, I guess it tucks under the exhaust when up.
There was an option or additional sidestand that you could use on a Scott, see the pic below. It was an extending ratchet type but made for motorcycles. I’ve no idea of the age but I guess it was fitted sometime in the 50’s. Note this one is angled because of bent mounting bolts and ex owner abuse!
theres nuts all over my place ,it does slope down a bit but its not in the way of anythingwell clear of the road ect it goes a bit more forwards than intended but the bikes in the proper position with the stand down very secure i can start the bike in the side stand with no danger of it falling over i think l.o.l
I don’t know if you can still get the universal side stands that clamp round a frame tube. I’ve got one fitted to the tube just in front of the rear wheel on my Flyer. It folds up almost invisibly and has done stirling service for several years now.I did have to mod it by filing ‘teeth’ into the clamp and the nuts are wire-locked. I found the need for both these the hard way the day after I first fitted it.
