Hi, There is a VERY nice, Silk-Scott for sale on the carandclassic website. Just type ‘Scott’ into the Search box on the website and you will soon find it. Thousands of hours and great skill has gone into a long and painstaking rebuild of one of the earliest Silk-Scott specials, which was previously owned by Richard Whittle.
Yes, on eBay. The owner is a bit bemused as one of his sons is supposed to be selling it on his behalf, and he is unsure what is happening as his son is working away at the moment. Apparently no-one has contacted the owner so far. (That was approx 13-00 hrs today). No idea why it has disappeared from eBay ! Don’t quote me but I reckon that £11K would probably buy it. It is a very early Silk-Scott, with frame number 005. A really HUGE amount of time, effort, and money has gone into the rebuild over several years. If anyone is a bit hesitant about approaching the owner let me know, and I can take you to see it, and introduce you to the owner. Please form an orderly queue……
