Silk Website

I see that we are in danger of losing the current Silk website, http://www.silk-motorcycles.com. Can I suggest that the SOC takes the opportunity to save what information has been gathered on this site and add it as an adjunct to the main Scott website. At least the site would not then be lost as has been threatened. In this way the Club would have something to offer Silk owners. As it stands it wouldn’t be an additional burden on Paul Wilson’s shoulders and hopefully someone could be found to manage it in due course.

Hi Jon,

I’ve had a quick look at the site and the webmaster states he’s going to leave it up and running for while. Do you know the webmaster, if so it would be worth getting his/her permission to copy the website content (or even better to get him to send a copy of the html/flash code in softcopy) and we might be able to re-use parts of it on the existing soc website.

Hello both – I have exchanged a few emails with Kevin about this and hopefully will have a more detailed chat with him on Sunday if he makes it to Abbotsholme. I am keen to see what the Club can do to help preserve the site.
