for my newly acquired Scott I urgently need the linkage for the manual gear shift (my shoe size 46 does not fit the foot shift…) and the Bowden cable for the front brake.
It would be very nice if anyone has something like this for sale and can send it to Germany.

Hi Frank, Pavel Simek should have some parts for the gear change gate, so you would have to finish it. You can find his contact in Yowl at the local section contact details page). I made some drawings and dimensions  of the gear change lever for Zoran Vaskovic, so I could resend you the photo, if you wish to make it. If I remember well, I think Alan Noakes made gates as well, I’m not sure if lever as well.

I don’t know if it’s possible to buy ready made bowdens, but I bought the bowden, steel cable and soldered the endings, it was also easier to make the lengts as I need. And they works well, I did over 18000 km and soldering holds perfectly.

Hello Martin, thank you very much – drawings would already help me a lot. It would also be very nice if someone could take a photo of the Bowden cable at the front, especially of the transition from the cable to the threaded rod. The one I have here looks very badly made, I don’t dare to ride with it.
A photo of the ignition adjustment would also be helpful, as this adjustment is completely missing on my bike.

Thank you, very interesting. However, your gearbox looks different somehow. Also an interesting carburettor. Mikuni?
I would be very grateful for a photo of the (original) ignition adjustment on the magneto. Unfortunately, this is completely missing on my bike.

<li style=”text-align: center;”>Hi I think that behind the gearbox foot change mechanism the gearboxes are the same. Nothing stopping you modifying the foot change pedal to suit different feet. But I think that it will never be like a modern foot change. May I suggest you try it first and see how you get on? Picture of the magneto points. Carburettor is a Lectron. Mikuni are available from Allen’s Peformance in the UK for Scott.
