Just taken delivery of my ’35 Rep. Previous owner ran it on classic 40w oil, via the pilgrim plus about 125ml pre mixed in the fuel. It smokes, a great deal. In the interests of saving the atmosphere a little I’ve reasoned that I could use a more modern oil and reduce quantities a little. What’s the current poison of choice?
I use ( the horrendously expensive) Silkolene classic 2T premix in my rotary and reckon this would do the trick. Any thoughts? Quantities?
Good to be back, I’ve missed Scotts having been sidetracked by inferior marques for the last few years.
A tutto gas
