I’ve not posted for a while, truth be told I’ve not used the Scott for a couple of seasons, lots of other bikes to fettle and ride, I guess. Well, today I took the old girl out for a spin and remembered, amidst all the usual technical stuff we SOC members obsess over, there’s a wonderful bike that just deserves to be enjoyed!
Here it is at Shepperton:
For sure, it smokes a bit too much and the front brake is crap and I really should fiddle with the carb a bit, but hey! bikes are for riding, right? and none more so than a Scott.
Hi Paul.. There is nothing better on a nice day than to be out reveling in the pleasure of a true bike of character.
Fettling is good, but we must never forget that we do it so we can enjoy days like that.
And, the important spinoff
Others can see it and maybe, just maybe, want to find out more about what they have been missing
Looking good in those pics! I finally got one of my TT Reps running again this afternoon after father-in-law blew the engine at the Manx last year. A marathon rebuild including welding up the crankcases and machining new pistons from blanks but done at last. Just got to check the electrics through then off for a (last one ever…) MOT next week and get it run in for the Banbury.
😀 You and me both Eyeguy!!!!!!!!! Been out on he MPG racing Scott today checking it out for a thrash at Cadwell on the 15th of June with Roger Moss. Hope to see you all there!!!!!!!! 😀 😀 😀 Regards to all Ted
