I am after a twin leading shoe front brake for my other bike (a 1956 Velocette Venom) ; just the brake plate plus tls bits and pieces will do – the hub is not needed.
Does anyone have one laying in their garage/store/refrigerator?
As a past owner of two Venom Clubman (both 1959) models, I can remember that a very good aftermarket TLS conversion was made by a firm called John Tickle, and this was emulated on the later Venom Thruxton. If you try advertising for a John Tickle conversion it might turn up what you are looking for. I have tried a DVLA enquiry to try and track down 472FTB, my last Venom Clubman, but can’t track it down !
Yes indeed, Brian, a John Tickle twin leading shoe brake plate would be very nice.
Very hard to find now though.
My bike was raced in the TT in the 70’s and 80’s and has a single leading shoe modified with various air scoops and other things. However, it will not stop like a twin leading shoe.
