My office looks like a bomb has hit it and I am trying to tidy up. I have a packet with P/copies of a Scott log book TN 9628 Frame 2592M, so late 28 perhaps.
The packet has some photos of a nice vintage car and a model vee twin engine.
I would like to return these to the owner, but there are no notes on the packet or photos.
If this rings a bell with anyone, please let me know. Kind Regards

I was just about to get excited – I have Scott Reg TN9470 / Frame 2596M… very close numbers…..first registered 28/3/29
Unfortunately I have no history with my Squirrel…that would have been a nice surprise if it was my bikes paperwork !

Dear Alastair I believe that it is most likely that these pics were in a scrapbook that had belonged to the grandfather of John Powell (Lord Powell)
John found his grandfather’s old bike and bought it back. He had remembered as a child seeing his grandfathers prized scrapbook, with newspaper cuttings covering from about 1928 to 1934. With the help of DVLA (It possibly helps to ask on “House of Lords” paper) the scrapbook was discovered still in the possession of a former owner of the bike. John kindly loaned it to me and I photographed almost all of it for archives.
I have sent an email to John to confirm if the separate photos that I found were his. If so, I will return them to him. A nice man John with no assumed importance, so a very pleasant new friend amongst so many. Roger
