I need to fit a new upper dust cap to the lower end of my forks. I can see how the lower one unscrews but I don’t know how the upper one is retained – can anyone explain? The Book of the Scott is silent on this subject.

Apparently the upper dust cap is soldered on. My replacement is s/s so I intend to glue it with JB Weld.
