The alloy casting forming the word ‘Scott’ is a factory item. I have a couple, and they were originally put on sidecar bodies. They are very fragile in their old age! The backing to it appears to represent the Scott badge ‘Limit Gauge’, as on most tank transfers/decals, but this one appears to have been given a secondary function……. It could well have been an original limit gauge, pensioned-off and used as part of the badge.
