As i mentioned in an earlier thread i am trying to get my 1935 Scott flying squirrel registered in Austria.
Problem is i have very little info on this particular model and the bikes paperwork has been lost!
Can anyone please help me get a copy of the official specifications for this model (needs to be from a reputable source)
Or advise me on how to look up the bikes history? The bike was imported from the UK by a dealer and naturally i have the engine and frame numbers if this helps.
Hi, I would think that your best route would be to join the VMCC, and then ask the club to look at the works despatch record book in order to then give you an “official” letter giving you the bike’s original details, including the date when it left the factory. Our Machine Registrar Ian Parsons can also provide whatever information the SOC has on the bike. Put all that together with a copy of the 1935 factory catalogue from our Librarian Dave Bushell, and you will have as much information as can be provided at this time. Good Luck !
Thanks again Brian.
My plan was to join the club as soon as my bike is registered. Im guessing this bike used to belong to a member as there is a large SOC badge on it! 🙂 so i am hoping Ian will have some info…
