WANTED: outrigger side cover for 1927 Flyer… FOUND ONE!

For my 1927 Flyer I’m looking for the cover that goes over the outrigger.
See picture below.

Can anyone help?

I do not believe that side shields were fitted to the Flying Squirrels until 1929. Castings for them should be available from the Spares Scheme.

If your Scott has the long wheelbase frame you may need to check whether the side shield from a short frame will fit.

Hi Ian,

It’s well possible that the shields were not fitted from the factory. But I just do like the way they tidy up your bike… My Scott, although registred as a 1927 model, has the later short frame.

I talked to Gill about the covers and at that time the only cover the spares scheme had was of a later type (with speedo drive).

So anyone?

Well Ian, you were right! Gill emailed me and the spares scheme does actually have some covers now. So I ordered one.
