I am in the process of obtaining historic registration in Spain and the bike has had its homologation inspection that has to show that the engine, frame and all cycle parts are correct for the model and year. the bike came with a recently rebuilt engine that due to probably metal fatigue has lost a piece of casing. We could repair it and the same thing happen again so we have to look at what else is available. The authorities can be rather difficult with vehicle registration so an exact match would be the best option, followed by re-stamping another set of cases. I have about a 3 month wait for the work to be done so hopefully will find a case to do the job that is acceptable to the authorities.
