I have a stand I belive is for a scott.
Its H section in plan with 2 round cast lugs sticking out each side and the bar of the H teminating in a bent L bracket with a slot in it.
In side view looks like a old sledge with two cast bushed holes at the curved front. length from center of hole to tip of foot is 12 1/2 inches. cast number on leg 4548/9 and a symbol like the infinity sign or a lovers knot.
If it is Scott What Scott is it from?-(Fingers crossed for a 28 3speed)
Yes it is a front stand and it was a standard fitting both pre and post war Flying Squirrels. It was fitted to 1929 bikes but I, can’t confirm that it was fitted to 1928 3 speed. It pivots on two top hat bushes and it fits between the engine and the frame on the front engine bolt.
