Anyone local to Stafford/Wolverhampton/Birmingham with an up-and-running Birmingham or late Shipley Scott can spare me half an hour to make some measurements ?????

If you say what measurments your needing I could probably take some for you if this helps.
What I need is to measure the sound output of a silencer before it goes off for plating – hence the need to try it on a running bike – but not necessarily on the road of course.
If it is a Burgess silencer, be assured that it will be buggered by the plating process unless the ends are securely plugged with nylon bungs to keep the chemicals out of it.
