……..it is not only people that come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Scott 2-speeder front forks do as well and, just like with people, the perfect dimensions seem to exist only in photographs in magazines!
A long-winded way of saying ‘HELP’. Does anyone have a set of long-steering head, wide forks for sale or exchange?
The forks which came with my 1926 2-speed Super Squirrel were long-steering head narrow ones which did not fit the wide wheel and mudguard. I managed to exchange these for a set of wide forks but, by the law of Someone Old and Demented, the new ones were for a short steering head.
So I have a set of wide, short forks to exchange. I might, possibly, be able to lay my hands on the narrow, long ones again so I might have those for exchange. Can anyone help with a set of wide, long ones?
Alternatively, if I could get the narrow long ones back, does anyone have a complete (inc. brake and brake plate) narrow front wheel for sale?
Thanking you all in anticipation – and I am holding my breath.
