I also know Wippermann do a conventional solid pin chain, ref 331, which features 50% more bearing area and a slightly higher tensile strength at a very slight weight penalty. The cost difference is however 4x! Is there a reason so many people run the hollow pin chain?
The reason I am asking all this is I travel to Germany on a fortnightly basis, need mag chain for my 4 Scotts, Glyn is ceasing to import it from the Yowl article. My local industrial stockist in Germany is a Wippermann dealer so I can easily obtain as much as I want over the counter.
With regards to numbers for Wipperman chain, I have just found the following and hope they are of some help.
No 01105 listed in the catalogue No K1072. Also Steckglieder 999 dw 06, and also a referance to No 18. I know it is only a list of odd numbers but something might tally.
