I see the “hammer” price was 5300 Pounds
Wonderful news Roger !!
Was keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you this time that
neither yourself or the Scott needed any rebuilding after the event !!
A belated thanks to Steven and Roger for the fine # 11 issue and wishing
all the best to “Scotters” in particular, and motorcycles enthusiasts in general for 2007 .
Hi Alex, there is also an”oiler assembly” item # 120050793530 (Circa 1929 ??) Maybe wanted by someone in the club ?
Yes , Apparently it did not reach the reserve on bids but met it during further negotiation, after the auction ended. Cheers Peter.
Seems a good authentic bike….. Went to the US for $11,000 / GBP 5850.
I have found with most of my Scotts that the fuel consumption is rather like an aircraft engine and best calculated in time of hours running, rather than MPG.
Perhaps that is why the “flying flea” Scott aircraft engines were developed !
Regards to all…Peter.
Upon receipt, as usual, read avidly through without a pause.
Many thanks to Steven and Roger !!!
Jake, here’s another… try https://www.pdrestoration.ca/ . they are in
Ontario….’phone # is 1-519-652-6200 Cheers Peter.
PS. If I had your Email would send direct an not bother the Forum…Sorry Folks !!!
Hello Jake, you could try “Domiracer” in Cincinatti Ohio USA.
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org. If they can’t help directly they will be able to steer you on !
Place the spring onto the centrepin and with a pair of pliers (grip firmly) wind the spring up and when wound up set the outer end on the anchor pin .
Replace the cover an hey presto !
Keep at it Dan ! With all your trials and tribulations you will no doubt eventually be amongst the “next generation” Scott guru’s, so stay on the learning curve …it’s all worthwhile. Regards Peter.
Excellent Steven…What a good read !!! Regards Peter.
I have used WD 40 in the past, but wether this frowned upon by the
guru’s I don’t know ..No doubt we shall see… All the best to all the Club members for the festive season. Peter.
Congratulations to all concerned Roger…What a splendid effort… Paul is certainly the champion. !!!
