Hi Paul,a suggestion for the frame would be what i use which is hammerite GARAGE DOOR PAINT.This is extremely durable,can be thinned with white spirit etc to give a perfect finish(with a brush) and is cheap.It looks just like an enamel type finish and doesnt chip,though you may have to put a petrol resistant laquer on in places that may be affected,it is a cheap solution as i know that the costs of having the red sprayed would be rather high!
