From memory, this idea goes back donkey’s years to a Scott racer called Derek Whittle, and I had my first close look at it in the paddock at Cadwell Park in the late 1970s. If you have a trawl through ‘Technicalities’ there was a DIY article explaining how to make one, printed in Yowl. At a guess early to mid 1980s ?
