I recently expressed gratitude to Bill Webster (YouTube pseudonym ‘ruziggy’) for putting my 2012 Gathering photos on YouTube. Bill is the husband of Linda, daughter of the late Harry Walton, a keen North West SOC member who sadly died last year aged 94.
Bill reminded me that Harry’s other daughter Pat is married to Peter Robertson (pseudonym ‘mrcatchems’) – he has recently put video which he took at the 1991 Gathering, on YouTube. Thanks Peter.

Look out for Glyn Chambers giving instructions and a demo ride on his well travelled veteran BM 5934, also the roadworthy ex Derek Cox 1923 Sociable KU 2772 and the 1923 TT lap record holding sidecar outfit being ridden by the late Ossie Neal and daughter Shelagh. Also, in shorts giving his knees an annual airing, is dear old Harry Walton admiring the exhibits, and later riding his 2 speeder CA 9042, with it’s unusual dual ignition, engineered and fitted by Harry. I also spotted in the background my long term friend Frank Walker, all six and a half foot of him, with a blue mop sun hat chatting with my late father Arthur in a red shirt.
