In recent months our usual venue, “The Vale of Belvoir” public house/hotel has been noticeably going rapidly downhill, and this culminated in the situation at our September meeting this week when they had NO BEER!! (except for some bottled stuff), and I was told that the place had changed hands yet again that very day at 12 noon. As non-computer owning members won’t be informed until they get their October issue of Yowl I have not proposed to decamp until our November meeting on Wednesday Nov 3rd, when we will meet at “The Unicorn’s Head, Main Street, Langar, Notts..
The place is easy to find, being 4miles from the main A52 and signposted from the A52 Bingham bypass. It is very close to the Leics/Notts border, so I am hoping to attract maybe some new faces from the Leics area. The pub has much better restaurant areas, and if all goes well it should make a very nice venue for our Christmas/New Year Sunday Lunch. Fingers crossed!
