Hi all, A friend in the SOC has become disabled and is having to sell off all his motorcycles and all the garage/workshop equipment that he had in his garage business and at home where he restored his bikes. I sold his 1932 Scott TT Replica for him last week, and that has gone to Germany, and the other bikes have also been sold, but there are a lot of tools and other stuff still available. For instance a large Seeley floor standing parts washer, and a Clarke motorcycle ‘dolly’ for moving bikes into tight corners for storage, etc.. Also lots of hand tools, measuring equipment, and so on. Phone the vendor’s wife Sue if interested, on 01949-845109, and mention my name. Ironically another local garage business is also closing down, and only yesterday I picked up some useful items from their clearance sale. A sign of the times I suppose, when the land that a village business stands on is worth a tempting lump sum as house building plots, an instant pension fund, enticing owners nearing retirement age to sell up and take early retirement. (Vendor is on Leicestershire/Notts border)
