It would seem that the Burton section of the VMCC has at last come to the bottom of the barrel and are so desperate that they have invited me to give a “Presentation” at 8.0pm on February 14th. It is quite possibly an attempt to conjure an excuse for some to avoid the company of their supposedly “nearest and dearest” on this significant date. I have been expecting them to phone and cancel if they found a decent speaker, but things must be tough in Burton. So should there be any confirmed masochists who fancy a treat, then apparently it is near the Bass museum and details should be in the VMCC mag, unless, of course, they are too embarrassed to admit to what depths they have been reduced.
