The date of our Winter meeting is MONDAY DECEMBER 13th 2010 commencing 8pm, at THE WHIPPING STOCKS pub, on the A50 between Knutsford & Holmes Chapel , within easy reach of junctions 18 & 19 of the M6. (The pub’s postcode is WA16 9EX)
We will be holding our TRADITIONAL XMAS SANDWICH SUPPER, when our own Father Christmas, President JIM BAXTER, will offer an alternative to singing for his supper, by giving a seasonal thought provoking & entertaining presentation, with visual aids, as they say in the education business; always good fun. Not only will we help you forget the rigours of Xmas shopping, we’ll make sure you feel no guilt in such escapism.
However, if your family & friends can’t think what to buy for YOU for Xmas, it’s a good idea to be there, because also in attendance will be one of Santa’s helpers, GEOFF GREEN, with his amazing goody bag of SOC gifts for your perusal. From a stylish warm fleece, polo or sweat shirts to brass squirrels & really substantial machine badges. If possible, to ensure he brings your precise requirements, give Geoff a shout in advance, preferably by phone, on his number declared on the inside cover of Yowl, then come to collect, or simply choose on the night.
Come along to share your 2010 (or earlier) Scotting recollections …… and, should you have any Scott project problems please don’t keep them to yourself – bring those as well, to discuss in forum.
Do try to make it, you know you’ll be made welcome.
