As some of you will know I am building a racing Scott. I am keen to ensure there is a Scott still racing at BHR events and other race meets. I have got a fairly special rolling chassis together but now I am focusing on my engine. I have managed to get some special parts from Roger moss but I would like to know more about port heights and port timing. I understand that the transfer port hight and size is fixed and the inlet port is governed by the space available in the cases, but what about exhaust port hight? Has anyone got any insights into ports in racing engines. I would love to learn as much as I can before I start cutting metal. Thank you everyone for your time. I should also say I am looking to race a 498cc, I am keen to compete in the 500cc class.
