Hi Dan,
Have you thought of upgrading the clutch release mechanism at the same time as replacing the seal. I am at present in the process of making a mechanism to Rogers design for my gearbox. This includes a modern seal. It does require a small amount of machining to the end of the gearbox to give room for the seal to fit in. If you need any info on how this can be done email me.

I had the pleasure of attending this meeting and what an event it was.
Paul Dobbs is a very competitive rider and was supported in this fully by the machine he was riding. To see him start from near the back of the grid to carve his way through the field, and once at the front, to pull away relentlessly was an inspiration. The large amount of interest shown by non Scott owners in the machine can only be to the good of all Scott owners wether keen on racing or not. Roger I applaud your efforts keep up the good work.

As a very new member of the club with no previous connection with the Scott machine I am frankly somewhat dismayed to read the postings of the last few days.
On joining I had looked forward to becoming a member of a group with a common aim and similar views. My initial experience supported this view when I received the technicalities CD from Steven, ‘thank you’. Armed with my bible I decided to give the bike a once over even though on the surface everthing looked OK and I was looking forward to a summer of riding. With the engine fully stripped I discover that my initial thoughts were dashed and there were some serious problems to be addressed.
It is at this point that the technicalities runs out and I would hopefully look for support from other more Knowledgable members of the club. Just at this crucial point I discover that the club seems to be in some sort of self destructive cycle with talk of splits and underhand dealings.
Quite how the members who live outside of the UK view this situation I can only speculate. There are clearly some long running issues that need to be addressed, can I request that these are addressed so that us ordinary rank and file members can feel proud of the club to which we belong.

Steven, many thanks for your prompt reply.
I received the CD well within the 10 days you estimated and it has given me some excellent reading over the past week of very wintry weather here in the UK.
