I gave friend Casini a radiator three or four years ago and thats the last I ever saw of it. I think there is only one real cure for leaking rads….Give Jon Hodges your pocket money! no more worries.
A brass wire brush is the best thing and finish the the faces off with wet and dry.
Thanks Colin. Someone else said he was using the Silkolene Comp 2 injector as well. There is no reference to it’s viscosity on the container which was what threw me. What you say is very interesting. Incidentally I use NGK 6BE plugs. They can oil if I get very stuck in heavy traffic, waiting for horses etc. but generally do the job.

Hi Dave,
I’m not sure yet. What do you think a fair price would be?
Chris
Thanks for the info, Dave.
My sympathies to you Roger. I heard you saying at Mallory that you had decided to bite the bullet and race the Scott yourself. I can’t beleive what bad luck. best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I also thought that the club put on a good display, (my own FS was flying the flag on the West Wilts VMCC pitch.) It was very nice to chat to the genuine, friendly folk manning, and womaning the stand. Good show.
Dave, I thought I had posted a reply! Don’t know where it could have gone though. What you say is very interesting. Do you add any two stroke oil at all? what plugs do you use? I use NGK BHE6 and these still oil up sometimes when I get stuck in the wrong conditions. What do you have the pump set at? Incidentally, I take it you have a crankcase mounted pump. More info would be gratefully received. Thanks,
Chris
Thanks for that idea Roger. I’ll give it a go.
The saddle top is new. Its from a chap in Gloucesteshire (I think). He is an Arial specialist and had a stall at the cheltenham jumble a few years ago. Coincidentaly it is on this Saturday but its a bit of a trek for you if he isnt there this time. He sells these saddle tops in 2 or 3 sizes. I do not think they are re-inforced but it fitted straight onto the Drilastic frame that I had and jolly comfortable it is too compared to the normal matress type. I know this dealer used to advertise in Old Bike Mart so you might try that for a start. Good luck.
PS: I don’t suppose you notice black behind on racing leathers…until you sit on someones cream coloured sofa!
I have a pair that I had made in steel a couple of years ago. They weren’t cheap though. If you are still looking, send me an email: weas795@yahoo.co.uk
I expect you already know, but your bike should have Webb heavyweight forks. Norton made something Very similar (the ones without the chech springs either side. It may be easier to find a set of these. Teh brake anchor is on the other side and the steering head has to be elongated, both simple/cheap jobs.
good luck
Congratulations Norman Nippy. I greatly admire you for jumping in at the deep end. Thats the sort of attitude that built the Empire!! Good luck with it, best wishes,
Chris Wastell
I would like to ask that question too!
Hi Steve,
could you give me your address please. I want to send you an order.
Many thanks,
Chris Wastell
Jim, Might I suggest that you give Dave Brierley a ring, he has an add in the Yowl. He has all the correct size and lengths of chain for Scotts, Genuine Reynolds.
Good luck, Chris Wastell
