Welcome to the Scott world
Looks great! I love bikes that tell a story.
Scotts are fabulous – when well sorted, but can be such a pain when they aren’t but sounds like your taking a good approach. I’m only in Nantwich so if you wanted to meet up sometime – just let me know.
Couple of suggestions…..
Join the Scott & Silk Facebook group – its very active
Take a look at both the “News letters” and the “Technicalities” on this web site Scott Technicalities
Come along to the Scott Owners North-west meeting on Monday 5th Aug at the Bellhouse, Bellhouse Lane, Grapenhall, WA4 2SG
Flyer or 3-Speed Super?
That’s sad. Funeral seems to be noon on 30th May at Alsager. I’ll see if I can get some space from work and ride my super over there
Thinking of riding my Scott there (Weather permitting) – Is there secure parking?
Thanks
Graham

Apparently its in Hertford. Owned by a Mr Sloan.
My Dad had a Scott with a side car and lived down a narrow path on quite a steep gradient.
He was (apparently) quite adept at hitting the kill switch he had added to the mag and releasing it just so that the motor would fire backwards to let him reverse back out of the narrow path 🙂
A photo of Clive Waye. I posted it on the Scott Facebook group as its soooooo much easier to use than this website, bit shame not to share it …
Love it!
I’m looking forward to reading how you go on with the rest of it. I do hope it works out well 🙂
Took the old girl for a run out to the pub a couple of weekends ago 🙂
Despite being booked in and really looking forward to coming along – but unfortunately, I’ve got a beast of a cold.
Do hope you enjoy yourselves.
🙂
I forgot to mention – I also took a millimetre or two of the top thread to give a bit more clearance between the rad. If you get any issues with arcing to the rad you could just stick a small rubber disc or something on top of the plug lead securing nut.
Glad you’re all sorted
Bloody web site
Hopefully Pic is now below the size limit…..
Yeap
Have added a pic for clarity.
Just be careful to check the threads on the pug are good to start before putting them in (don’t want to screw the threads in the ferrule) 🙂
Cheers
G
Hi John
Unfortunately I’m in eh North Wet so not close enough to pop over.
Hopefully you get to the bottom of it soon
