Seems like I’m not able to upload the photo, at least I don’t see it here. Not sure if it’s due to my old computer… anyway, it’s the cylinder shape oil tank placed under the seat. Cap is screw type. Hope it helps to recognize the type. If you have some pictures, you can send it to my email: martin.dasek@gmail.com
Thanks, Martin
here is the photo
Hi Paul,
perfect, thanks. I have about 930 km already and engine is running better and better. I already went bit lower with the mixture and oil and seems to be Ok. Now just have to have small rest, as the spokes in the rear wheel are braking. Pavel Simek told me he is using stainless steel once and are Ok, maybe I made it too stiff. But already waiting for the normal steel and this should be Ok.
Thanks, all the best,
Martin
I got the rear stand thackery washers from Richard Blackburn. My friend need this for Indian, but I will order some for the gear change lever as well. Hope it will be suitable and work well. Thanks for the infos
So sad, I was in contact with John just once and bought the tool boxes from him, superb work. Condolences to the family.

Thanks a lot, for answers, much easier with correct words 🙂
All the best,
Martin
Thanks for tips, great. Dave, yes, please check the rims when you will get out of hospital, there’s no rush. Hope you will be fine soon.
Thanks, all the best,
Martin
Hi Laurie and Ian,
I’m also Velocette Owners Club member. I checked the groves and they have the cups for the steering head, so at least this. I thought it could be possible to get the cups and cones, as it’s webb front hub, but seems like no way. I’m going to remake it for the standard bearings, so just have to order the 7/16 x 20 tpi die to make a new axis. I think this will be easier and cheaper way, and I’ll keep original parts in a box with the leftover bits.
Thanks a lot, Martin
Hi Richard,
great to read your post here, great to hear you feel better. Hope you will feel like 20 soon, back on your bike 🙂
All the best, Martin

Hi, it would be great to see more pictures, I would be interested in 32 flyer. Thanks, Martin
I hope Roger will be Ok soon. Greetings and fast recovery 🙂
Hi Brian,
sounds interesting. I didn’t even see the period photos of the bike. It would be great to see some photos when there will be something to see. Good luck with your work 🙂
Martin
Hi Brian,
sounds very interesting. So I guess engine is TT replica or factory racing engine? Probably detachable head? Is it possible to share some pictures of the bikes (yours and Ian’s, if it would be Ok for him) here or in Yowl please? I think more people would be interested in those legendary bikes 🙂
Thanks, Martin
