Thanks Al and Chris
I remember a line that goes–
The only real “right” that any of us have, is the right to go to hell in our own way.
I suppose I shouldn’t have bothered to reply, but in fact, I do not write, I only think with a pen or keyboard and I enjoy just letting the thoughts flow
It is interesting, is it not, to note just how much a written passage illuminates the true nature of the writer. Much more perhaps than a conversation.
Kindest Regards
Roger
Hi Frank,
If you forward the photo’s to me at webmaster@scottownersclub.org then i’d be very happy to publish them on the main site. 150 dpi resolution in jpg format is ideal but as long as the file size is not more than approx 300KB per photo then other formats are fine.
Many thanks,
Paul
rogers scott, is clearly a scott, it looks like a scott, if anyone who is familiar with scotts saw it, they would know instantly its a scott, are birmingham scotts not scotts? they were not made at shiply?
however they are clearly scotts, if i have a harley chopper, with a custom frame, fork, and engine< is it no longer a harley? I think not! it is a custom harley! Rogers scott is a custom scott, customised to rogers taste
for enhanced performance, but a SCOTT none the less! at least that is my opinion !
Hi all
Martin Brockwell had a set done. It cost him £80 and the shop owner told him not to come back for more!
As regards progress, I am awaiting answers to questions that have been posed by those more conversant with transferring info onto CD ROM than I am. I also admit that due to spending long hours trying to make a living, then sometimes things are not responded to as quickly as I would like. I mean well, so beg your forgiveness if I fail at times.
I think it is absolutely great to see so many positive people who all want to go forward with making technical info available.
Whatever I have as regards info and designs is available, but I am only slowly getting it on to CAD.
Kind Regards
Roger Moss

Neil,
I would like one as well. Useing the scheme to pay would be easier, but
I will do which ever way works.

I have discovered a little more about the Crius Scott. Built by Christian Christophe in Germany, approx 1971. He initialy used a Z23 ??? frame but later reverted to most of a Scott frame, modified. He was complimentary in his praise of ” M.Milnes Leeds ” and “the constucteur of a Scott dragster ?? Mr Clive Waye” together with “The Yowling Scott Club “

Haven’t seen any quistion, did you push the right button
I only saw one Scott all week. It was down at Port Erin on the Monday of race week , we were setting up for the stunt show and it came round on a bit of a test run by the sound of it , the gentleman had been making a few alterations.
Neil,
Thanks for making the enquiries. I want a copy and will pay up front if required.

Hi All you Scotters interested in Technicalities…..
I have now obtained a reasonably up to date copy of T’s.
For those who are waiting for a copy I HAVE A QUICK FIX SOLUTION!!!!!
I can have 15 top quality hard copies made at a cost of £25 each plus p&p.
I had “mine” neatly spiral bound as 3 volumes – with a clear perspex cover – and hard back for an extra £6.
I am still pursuing the Scanning/CD route – but this seems to me a good low cost short term solution.
I can have the copies made and ask Gill Swan to “sell” them via the Spares Scheme – if there is a demand.
What does this Forum think?
Incidentally the Book of the Scott is included in the copies.
I have already found my copy useful and very interesting – but over to the Club for a response!!
Will respond with the CD cost in due course.
Cheers

Roger,
Sorry to take so long in getting back to you, but that evening, scumbags tried to nick my bikes and did considerable damage to my garage with 4ft long bars and hammers. They stole my wife’s bike whcih I later retrieved on an estate around the corner, lying on the floor with the wiring harness mutilated. My every day bike which is ground anchored with huge chains I thought was OK but when I went to ride it, I found they had damaged the ignition and top yoke.
Anyhow, I’ve measured my spokes and they are about 12 thous over 3 millimeters, which very nearly equates to 1/8″. My rear wheel is different than others I have seen, whilst it has an original Dunlop rim, the hub is cut out between the spokes (scalloped seems about the best description). So there is a possibility that my wheel is not original. Perhaps in 1949, they were using up stock from prototypes etc as the wheel must be lighter. I would have thought without a sprung hub or any suspension, 3mm would be best anyhow.
Shaun,
can I contact you by phone and discuss the stove enameling you had done on your sunbeam.
regards
Darren
