Only the webmaster has access to the main website, concerns about out-of-date information on it are beyond the influence of the Shuttleworth organiser.
A few friends have been helping Richard Martin, myself with ‘The Gathering’ part of the Shuttleworth event, and have been posting details on the adjacent ” ‘Scotting’ Events ” forum as well as announcements in Yowl and the Old Bike Mart. These are the best means available to us, we had hoped it would be enough. My first posting announcing ‘The Gathering’ date was on the 18th February.
We have made it clear that RM does not have Internet access, but if you ‘phone him to discuss your concerns, you will find him very helpful. There are about 40 booked in to the event for the whole weekend. The Sunbeam Club was approached to increase the numbers, but to no avail.
RM deserves the Club’s gratitude for the effort he has put in to this new event, it hasn’t been easy, and we trust it goes well.

Move to the top.
Another reminder.
Members planning to attend from north of the river, and using the Dartford Crossing, must remember that you can no longer pay the toll at the barriers. Check “Dart Charge” for ways to pay.

Not exactly, Ted. When the member renews they have the option of nominating a family member (without any extra subscription). There is a line in the renewal form for this purpose. The family member has to sign to “agree to abide by the objects and rules….. etc”, and can vote at AGM, so there needs to be some formaility.
I can include a family member mid-term, just fill the form in, and send it to me.

A reminder, hope to see you at The Gathering.

It is important that the sight feed spaces are open to atmosphere and that no suction is allowed to effect the drip side. If no “nicks” are present on the edges of the window frame lay a piece of thin wire under the window to allow air in.
GLYN CHAMBERS
We have a few spare entry tickets for this event if any Club members are thinking about attending. The weather is improving!
The SOC London Section North set up a Club stand at Founders Day for several years but there was very little interest in supporting it. One year there were four Scotts on display, and three of them were mine! We discussed the matter at a previous AGM and decided not to do it in future.
The Club will have a stand at this event, please call in to say hello!
